4 Day Mikumi, Udzungwa & Maasai Culture Tour
In southern Tanzania, on the north-west side of Selous Game Reserve, you will find two small, quite offbeat national parks, Mikumi National Park and Udzungwa Mountains National Park. Mikumi is the 4th largest park in Tanzania and is easily accessible by road. It supports a large number of elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, eland, impala, waterbuck, reedbuck, warthog, yellow baboon, lion, hyena, antelope and many other species.
Depart after breakfast from Dar es Salaam via Morogoro and Chalinze with a packed picnic lunch box. Continue with a game drive in Mikumi National Park where we will come across lion, eland, hartebeest, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, zebra, elephant, and wild dog. Many bird species can also be seen. Arrive at Camp Bastian for dinner and your overnight stay.
After breakfast, you will proceed on a full day game drive in Mikumi National Park. You will see a variety of animal and bird species. Due to its savannah plains and open horizons, the abundant wildlife are easy to spot. Return to Camp Bastian for dinner and your overnight stay.
Known as “The Galapagos of Africa”, Udzungwa Mountains National Park is home to several culturally and historically significant sites. This include Bokela, Mwanaruvele cave, Magombereka cave, Ndundulu, Nyumbanitu Mountains and many more.
Breakfast will be followed by a game drive while proceeding to Udzungwa for lunch. Enjoy an afternoon walk along the tropical rain forest. Arrive at the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, take a hike on the spectacular trails that lead up to Sanje Waterfalls, one of the unique features of Udzungwa. Here you will get a good view of the Kilombero Valley. Return to the lodge for a hot lunch. Head back to Dar es Salaam for the end of your tour.
