5 Day Budget Camping Tour
Tanzania budget camping safari will be an unforgettable experience. You will experience the great outdoors. Our crew will set up your tents every evening and pack them away the following morning. Throughout the camping safari, you will receive high levels of service and care. Safari Moja Matata will provide all the safari equipment and a private chef. Our goal is to make your camping experience comfortable – a touch of the bush in a different style.
We will meet you at 7:30 am and drive to Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous Game Reserve). It is a drive of about 220km which takes approximately 4-5 hours. Upon your arrival at Selous Ngalawa campsite, enjoy a quick-prepared hot lunch by our chef. You have time for rest and to wander in the forest around the camp, spotting various animals and monkeys. At 4 pm, you will go on a boat safari with a skipper-guide on the mighty Rufiji River. Watch the hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and other animals coming to the water to drink. At sunset, we return to the Selous Ngalawa campsite for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast go for a full-day game view drive with your packed lunch. During the game drive, you will observe an abundance of wildlife such as wild dogs, buffalos, waterbuck, kudus, impalas, giraffes, zebras, lions, etc. Later, at sunset, you will drive to Lake Tagalala campsite for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast at 0830 am, we drive from Lake Tagalala campsite with a packed lunch to Mikumi National Park via the Uluguru Mountain range. We go on an evening game drive for an opportunity to see nocturnal animals. We will have dinner and overnight at Mikumi Park campsite.
- Main Destination: Mikumi National Park
We go on a sunrise game drive at 6 am (before breakfast) for 2 and half hours. We then return to Mikumi Park Cottage for a full breakfast and a short rest. We then proceed with the game drive with a packed or hot lunch, spotting the large concentrations of buffalos, giraffes, etc. We will also visit the hippo pools where you can get out of the vehicle and take pictures at a close distance. In the evening, we return to Mikumi Park campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast at 07:00 am, you will go on the Maasai village tour where you can experience their lifestyle, traditional dances, typical handicrafts, and the short history of the Maasai briefed by an elder (old man). Afterward, we drive back to Dar es Salaam via Morogoro town with a packed lunch. We will drop you off at the hotel or airport.
