Home to some of Africa’s largest parks and reserves, Tanzania is your quintessential safari destination. It’s one of the best places to visit if you’re hoping to witness part of the Great Migration, when hundreds of thousands of wildebeest follow the rains between Kenya’s Masai Mara and the Serengeti’s plains. You could also stay in a remote camp in Nyerere National Park, where rivers and streams attract hippo, giraffe and brightly plumed birds. Or visit the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where a vast volcanic crater forms a natural sanctuary for the Big Five.

We saw a stunning array of wildlife – lions, leopards, elephants, and more. Each sighting was thrilling. The visit to the Masai village was a real eye-opener and a unique cultural experience. Accommodations at the camp were comfortable and cozy, perfectly blending into the surroundings. A huge shout out to our driver, Rama, for his impressive driving skills and making us feel at home in the wild. For a memorable safari adventure, Safari Mika Matata is the go-to!Kostis Giapitzakis2024-01-15Epic Safari Experience!! Just got back from a safari in Tanzania with Safari Mika Matata, and it was epic! Traveling with friends, we saw it all - lions, leopards, elephants, you name it. The highlight? Visiting a Masai village, a total once-in-a-lifetime thing. The camp where we stayed was top-notch. Comfy and close to nature, it hit the sweet spot. And our driver, Rama? Guy’s a legend. Knew the land like the back of his hand and had a sixth sense for spotting wildlife. In short, if you’re planning a safari, Safari Mika Matata is the way to go. Great vibes, amazing sights, and a feel-like-home kind of experience. Highly recommend! 🌍🐾Peter M2023-12-085 days safari with 2 national parks with Moja Matata. Safari Moya Matata team is highly recommended. We spent 5 days/4 nights on the mainland from Zanzibar (Nungwi). Everything was perfectly organized at our request. That means taxi from the Hotel Tanzanite to Stone Town, ferry ticket there and back, pick-up from the port of Dar es Salaam and round trip with a visit to Nyerere National Park (former Selous Game Reserve) and Mikumi National Park. Our drivers Matata and Bugussa, and Bastian our guide were very helpful. We got to know Tanzania and felt safe and well looked after. We would be happy to travel with this agency again. Sigrid and PeterValerio R2023-11-27Wonderful places but agency not recommended! My partner and I had a terrible experience with this agency. We contacted the guide Thomas Pius and his driver Juma Mbasi for an 8 day safari. We left from Arusha and crossed the main parks of northern Tanzania including the Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Lake Natron. The sites and animals are wonderful, in particular we were struck by the landscapes of Lake Natron which certainly deserved a few more days of stopping.. Unfortunately, after having paid for the safari before leaving, Thomas Pius showed up with a very old Toyota Prado, saying that it was the only car he had available. The vehicle had major problems with the brakes, shock absorbers, the windows were blocked and it was fitted with very worn tyres. In fact it broke several times during the safari. After a while the brakes started to leak oil and we were about to crash while going down a hill. Finally the engine caught fire and we were left stranded. It was a very dangerous situation, so much so that upon returning to Arusha we went to the Tourist Police to file a complaint. It was a real shame because in this way we ruined the trip. Thomas Pius promised us compensation but it never arrived. I therefore advise against this agency to everyone.yoav b2023-11-22A remarkable and fantastic trip We saw many different animals and we saw some incredible views and amazing animals. The service was incredible and our guides were the bestGiuliz2023-11-14MATATA IS THE NUMBER ONE!! We met someone we will never forget! Matata is truly the NUMBER ONE! He was very helpful and kind to us! But I want to focus on the Safari: Matata gave us unique experiences, explaining with great passion everything we encountered and teaching us many things! When he saw a lion, he did everything to show it to us up close and knew exactly where to find the animals! I highly recommend him, and I would love to go back to Tanzania just to see Matata again! You absolutely must rely on him.
